Yes, it's been a while, but living here on the East Coast makes it impossible to forget. There are flags everywhere; everyday, but especially today. There are statues and plaques scattered through our town; remembering a father, a brother, a mother, a friend. You never know if the person your standing in line behind lost someone on 9/11, but the chances are great that they did. The weather today was angry and dark, a strange backdrop for the day. And as I drove around today running errands, I let the lady in the next lane squeeze in to make her turn, and mustered a little extra patience with the slow cashier, and a took deep breath when the guy really needed my parking space - because you never know.
Peace.
