We're planning a 'thaw out' trip for February while the kids are on break. Outside sources have suggested Cancun. Sounds great to me, but I'm spinning my wheels on where to stay. My cousin warned to stay away from Cancun proper and head toward Playa del Carmen. I haven't been there for, yikes, 20 years - so if anyone has a suggestion, I'd love to hear it.
